Eli was born perfect we didn't even know he had a murmur or anything wrong, we started noticing that his legs were cold and he was having what looked like milk allergy but it was actually his heart causing the weird symptom. Then at his 6 month apt his dr gave him a check-up and found he had a couple of murmurs he told us it was a VSD murmur. So off to see a specialist, the specialist after running a whole bunch of test came into the room and told us Eli needed heart surgery. So at 9 months old Eli had his first heart surgery the one of many. His first birthday came around and he still needed a bottle because of a complication that was caused by him having a tube down his from surgery. It is now December and Eli has started walking and now he is on a sippy cup. It is now March 2014 and Eli is on a training cup and enjoys it tons and he loves to run and climb. He still needs heart surgery in the future and it seems his coarctation may be coming back but he is still a happy little man and loves his mommy and daddy. This is the life of my son as he proves to be super strong even though he gets sick alot and struggles to meet mile stones but doesnt let that get him down.
